If one does not have access to the resources, how can they take ownership of their story? We believe self-reliance and self-actualization go hand-in-hand. No outside expertise or strategies can substitute for lived experiences and realities. When people speak truth to their power, the process aligns with liberation.
Advocacy and storytelling must stem from the same tree. As an extension of our work, we create access to education. We demystify the creative and technical process of storytelling to empower organizations and individuals to ultimately build internal capacity.
This means building up the resources at their disposal, small or large, to create their own multimedia content to reclaim their own stories. We provide media workshops to youth, technical video production training, and year-long mentorships for youth and BIPOC small business owners.
